SMS / Text Messaging Terms of Service

Terms governing consent to receive text messages from Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

These SMS Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your consent to receive text messages ("SMS," "text messages," or "messages") from Redeemer Presbyterian Church ("we," "us," "our," or the "Organization"), a nonprofit organization, in connection with its programs, ministries, events, and services. By opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not opt in to our SMS program.

1. Program Description

By providing your mobile phone number and expressly consenting to receive SMS messages from Redeemer Presbyterian Church, you agree to receive recurring automated and non-automated text messages regarding church programs, ministries, events, and services, including but not limited to:

  • Event and service reminders
  • Giving and donation confirmations or receipts
  • Ministry, program, and community announcements
  • Prayer requests and pastoral care communications
  • Administrative updates (e.g., schedule changes or cancellations)

This is a recurring message program. Message frequency varies based on your interactions with Redeemer Presbyterian Church and the ministries, programs, events, and services in which you participate.

2. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates charged by your mobile carrier will apply to messages we send. Please contact your wireless carrier for details regarding your text messaging and data plan.

3. How to Opt In

You may opt in to receive text messages by:

  • Submitting your mobile phone number through a web form, event registration, or sign-up sheet that references this SMS program
  • Texting a designated keyword to a published short code or long code number
  • Providing your mobile phone number directly to our staff or authorized representatives and expressly consenting to receive text messages

By opting in, you confirm that you are the account holder or authorized user of the mobile phone number provided and that you are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Each opt-in method includes a clear disclosure describing the SMS program, that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, instructions for opting out by replying STOP, and instructions for obtaining assistance by replying HELP.

4. E-SIGN Disclosure

By agreeing to receive text messages, you consent to the use of electronic records to document your consent. You may withdraw this consent at any time by following the opt-out instructions below.

5. Consent Not Required

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving church services, participating in ministry programs, making donations, or otherwise engaging with Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

6. How to Opt Out

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to any message you receive from us. After your request is processed, we will send a one-time confirmation message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will not receive additional SMS messages unless you opt in again.

If you have subscribed to multiple SMS programs operated by different ministries or affiliated entities of Redeemer Churches & Ministries, you may need to opt out of each program separately.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share your information with trusted service providers, wireless carriers, messaging platform providers, and other vendors solely as necessary to operate and deliver this SMS program. 11. Multiple Entities

Redeemer Presbyterian Church is part of Redeemer Churches & Ministries, which includes multiple affiliated nonprofit organizations. Each affiliated organization that operates its own SMS messaging program maintains a separate opt-in list.
